My Internet time has been crowded at best. But my running time has not suffered. I refuse to let it.
Admittedly this is one of my pet peeves. When someone tells me they don't have the time to take care of themselves. If you have time to watch TV, play a video game, read a book, or just go shopping for fun you have time. You just choose not to allocate that time for your health. When I say health I mean both mental and physical.
There will always be road blocks - the key is in finding that work around and prioritizing them.
As of late I have been running on Sundays with the TATUR's. The best part about this is that my shins do not scream at me like they do on pavement. Well that and all my crazy running friends that expect me to keep coming back.
Here are a few photos from recent TATUR events to give you a idea of what I mean (special thanks to TZ, Brian, Catherine, and Susan for the blatant stealing of photos).
I still love and prefer road running but I love my TATUR time too. I firmly believe that the trail running is helping my road running.
Get out of the house and get moving - yes I wake up early on the weekend. Would I trade it for sleeping in and laying about - hell no.
