Ok, that’s it. I may have lost my mind but I am planning to start training for the Route 66 half marathon in November.
A girl at work brought in her medal from last years and I want one. Bad.
This means I need to adjust some goals. If I will be able to do this I need to get to the point where I can run 3 solid miles. Yes my runs now are typically 4 miles or more but lets tell the truth here on a typical 5K I walk about 8 blocks total. This must change if I am to accomplish this goal.
I am not looking to set any records or come in at any crazy pace. I just want to finish. It wont be easy but I think with a lot of work and patience I can do this.
