Why?

In the past ten years I have been up (240) and down (135) the scale time and again. This time I am on the 'up' side of the scale. I want to loose the weight. I figure the humiliation of putting this on the internet and the friends that I have told of this to hold me accountable just might make this happen. It is going to take a lot of encouragement and support. Not to mention the hard work on my part. Follow my struggle here.

Happy 10lbs day!

As of today I have lost 10lbs in the last 2 months.

As I am sure you can imagine I am over the moon with this accomplishment.

Saturday was a fun and productive run day. I put in two miles with my fellow ”ComaToes” half marathon training group and then met up with my new Couch to 5K group for their very first day of training! It was soo cool to see them and think back to my first day of training.

I really hope they stick with it. It’s a small group so I don’t want to see any fizzle!

After we finished up I headed home and put in the remainder of my miles on the creek turnpike trail, lots of hills and zero shade. But it was still a pleasant run. I will probably start running it Wednesdays for some hill work.

I am really happy to be working with the latest couch to 5K group. My concern is will it be bad for me to get my miles in segments rather than running a solid six miles? I got in 6 total all in the same portion of the day. Former run leaders I could really use some input here!

Way to go girl! Losing weight is great but I imagine the health benefits are even greater. Your doing a great job and you are a great motivator to new runners!
