Why?

In the past ten years I have been up (240) and down (135) the scale time and again. This time I am on the 'up' side of the scale. I want to loose the weight. I figure the humiliation of putting this on the internet and the friends that I have told of this to hold me accountable just might make this happen. It is going to take a lot of encouragement and support. Not to mention the hard work on my part. Follow my struggle here.

New Day, New Month, New Goal

Ok so, yesterday I started a calander for the month. My office mate will be signing off on it daily so as to not tempt myself to skip.

Oh and I am cutting out Beer until the 31st (Other than Oktoberfest). Wine and liquor only please!

SO - I am posing this to you. On october 31 how should I reward myself? Please share any ideas you have - I am shooting for under $50. Oh - and not UBER un-healthy.

I will be looking for comments!

How about doing the Tulsa Run fun run 1.8 miles! Sisters and I are doing it for Kalebs school. What could be a better way to reward yourself than running. Haha

I thought about the Tulsa Run, but this year it falls on the same day as freakers ball. I am afraid I would be too tired for the rest of the day!

I had a couple ideas for myself to help me lose some weight:
1) Set aside an amount of money to reward myself if I reached my goal, BUT if I didn't, then I would have to donate the money to a political group I strongly oppose...like Sarah Palin's PAC.
2) Take a picture of me now in a bikini or underwear. Give it to my husband to post online if I don't reach my goal by a certain date. If I do reach my goal, go on a shopping trip.
Um...I had another idea, but I forgot it. So far, I've been too chicken shit and lazy to commit anything, which gives me an excuse to continue being a slacker and not lose any weight. I have, however, lost two pounds over the past six months, according to the Wii Fit, so there's that.
I'd say that if you reach a goal at the end of the month, then go get a nice manicure! It will remind you to stay on your healthy goals every time you look at your hands.
